Question I'm planning the engagement party. Is it possible to invite people to the engagement party even though they will not be invited to the wedding?

Answer Traditionally, only those who will be at the wedding would be invited to the engagement party (and that goes for all pre-wedding parties). An engagement party is a time to let close family and friends know about the wonderful news and they would have an expectation to be at the wedding. If they are close enough friends to be invited to the engagement party, they should be close enough to be invited to the wedding.
