Do the mothers of the bride and groom have to be invited to all the bridal showers?

Is it right to invite the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom to all the bridal showers? Isn't that a lot for them?

The mother of the bride and the mother of the groom are generally invited to all pre-wedding parties but may or may not attend all of them especially if the bride has numerous parties.
