Can I add the bridal registry on the wedding invite?

I am completing my invitations and I would like to include an insert to let my guests know where we are registered. How should I phrase the insert?


While this may appear to be a logical place to include information about your bridal registry, traditional wedding etiquette frowns upon this idea.

Only shower invitations should include such details about your bridal registry. Let your wedding party and close family know where you are registered and have them inform guests verbally. Likewise, if you are directly asked by guests, you can give the registry information. If at all possible, avoid placing particulars about the bridal registry into the wedding invitation.
